A bit about me…

Hi, I’m Daniel.
My partner and I moved to Tasmania several years ago after a number of trips down here left me with an insatiable appetite for her rugged beauty (Tasmania that is, as well as Emily’s).

We felt drawn to this nonconforming island state and all its untamed elegance.
Our experiences and interactions on those early trips beckoned us to escape a world we didn’t quite fit, we ventured into the unknown and began forging out the life we’d always envisioned.

I cut my teeth as a travel and landscape photographer and apply a photojournalistic lens to my storytelling approach. Travel influences not only my shooting style but my editing style, if it looks and feels right then we could be onto something beautiful.

Environmental sustainability

In both my personal and work life, I’m an advocate for environmental sustainability and minimalism.
Buying material things won’t make us happy, we already know that, so why do we feel like on a wedding day we need all the fanciest widgets and paraphernalia?
Look I get it, they’re often beautifully decorated widgets, and who doesn’t want their day to be embellished by them.

But there is another way.

The team over at Less stuff more meaning are rattling the cages, educating the
world and basically giving a proverbial.
It’s not only effortlessly cool to have an eco wedding but more environmentally sustainable, less expensive and fills you with feel good vibes knowing you’re a conscious consumer.
The Mindfully Wed E-guide is a great place to start planning your day.
